Create your own Meadow Drift full of delicate wildflowers and meadow grasses.
You will be using very simple hand embroidery techniques to produce your own stitched piece on beautiful fabric.
You will be working at your own pace and level with friendly personal tuition throughout this relaxed day.
A wide range of resources will be available including pure silk and cotton art fabrics, a large selection of embroidery threads and all sewing equipment.
There will also be a display of visual resources to inspire you.
Please feel free to bring along any images you may wish to use, including a notebook and pencil.
Useful advice on presentation and framing will also be given.
There are very limited spaces on this course due to the one-to-one tuition you will receive.
About Helen
Helen Roskell is an experienced tutor with a passion for hand embroidery. She has been teaching creative embroidery techniques throughout the south West since 2010.
Inspired by the natural world and the stunning Dorset countryside, Helen teaches adults of all ages and abilities the joy of slow stitch using seasonal themes of universal recognition.
Her popular courses include wildflower meadows, seascapes, wild birds in flight, marshlands, layered landscapes and textural detailed studies of insects and plant life.
Diverse techniques also include silk painting, dry needlefelting, hand quilting, printing and fabric collage.
She often combines several techniques in one piece to illustrate that no single technique is mutually exclusive.
