Hidden Gems of Dorset
Discover the hidden charm of Dorset through the eyes of authors Jeni Bell and Karen Heaney. With no motorways, cities, or major industries, Dorset’s slower pace, wild beauty, and creative spirit make it quietly extraordinary. Jeni and Karen will share some of their favourite off-the-beaten-path places, with stories from their bestselling guide to the county’s most surprising and delightful corners.
Biography
Karen Heaney turned her back on the city and relocated to West Dorset after two decades of living and working in London as a magazine journalist and editor. She now works as a freelance writer, contributing to a range of online and print publications. In her non-writing hours, she loves walking the drove roads and back lanes of her adopted county.
Jeni Bell is an award-winning writer based on the Wiltshire/Dorset border and her work is inspired by nature and landscape, with a smattering of folklore. Her writing has been published in a variety of publications including The Guardian Country Diary, Simple Things Magazine, British Wildlife Magazine, and Wiltshire Life. Jeni is at her happiest when wandering in the woods or travelling in her campervan.
